New Republican County Chair Elected by Tarrant County Precinct Chairs
Updated on Thursday, Feb 12, 2026
On Saturday morning, Nov 22, 2025 precinct chairs in attendance elected Tim Davis to fill the vacancy created when Bo French resigned from office several weeks ago to run for a statewide office in the upcoming Primaries. The second round of voting was by unanimous acclamation by the 185 precinct chairs in attendance. The vote totals in both the first and second round of voting met the quorum requirement of a minimum of 156 chairs for electing a new county chair. Congratulations to our new Republican County Chair, Tim Davis! It is great to be a part of an organization where there are good candidates for leadership! All of the other three candidates received applause and appreciation for putting their "hat in the ring" to lead the Tarrant County Republican party. They were: Shelly Gardner, Marshall Hobbs and John O'Shea. The next meeting is expected to be called soon to determine temporary chairs for the upcoming Senatorial Conventions next year that precede the state Republican Convention.
