Which Party Serves You?

The question of which party serves people the best will always be a subjective question based on one's personal political philosophy. However, there are objective measures one can consider when deciding on what candidate to vote on based upon the question of which party serves the public best. One of these is, simply, who shows up to ask to serve? On the November 2018 General Election ballot it was fairly obvious that one of the political parties has people willing to serve in elected positions by a considerably wider ratio than other political parties. On the ballot there were 61 elected offices that were voted on in our precinct. Of these 61, Republican minded people were on the ballot in every office to be voted on. Democrat minded people were on the ballot for 30 of these offices, which is a little less than half of the offices on the ballot, and Libertarian minded people were on 11 of these 61 offices on the November 2018 General Election ballot.

Even more interesting is which offices were sought after by Democrats and Libertarians. Only 7 of the 38 county elected offices had a Democrat contender. Of the 18 federal, state and legislative elected offices on the ballot, Democrats are contending for 17 of them, and Libertarians are contending for 11 of them. So which party is willing to step up to do the thankless local work that affects us the most? If Republican minded people care more about providing service at the local level as evidenced by their representation on the November ballot, how much more will they care about service at the higher levels of government? Also, when considering that the "higher offices" constitute bigger government, while the "lower" offices constitute a belief in government that is most accountable to the people, which party shows by their actions that they are willing to be accountable for their actions? I believe that the willingness of Republicans to run for every office that is on the ballot shows a distinctively service oriented approach here in Tarrant County that benefits us all in a civil society where liberties and freedom are protected best.

While every candidate is their own person, it says something that Republican minded people care enough to be willing to assume the responsibilities of the "lesser offices" in order to serve their community. This is one objective reason I urge you to consider who are the ones that demonstrate willingness to serve their community by their actions of being on the ballot and their statement of beliefs as presented by the Republican Party State platform.
