Republican State Convention Not What It Could Have Been

An article from the Texas Voice brought out the details that many of us suspected with the actions by the new party leadership. When so called "conservative organizations" support candidates that lie about incumbents and are paid and supported by billionaires with personal vendetta agendas, the fruit of these efforts are beginning to show. My hope and prayer is for introspection and repentance for the ways they have mislead low information voters. But my greater hope is in the reality that God's ways will prevail over the evil plans of people in these so called conservative organizations who have compromised their conscience to support people who have lied to the voters and placed certain people in office above the law by ignoring their personal vendettas against people of integrity. These actions are not part of the Christian approach to life, and ultimately will be judged by the One who judges us all. For now, the task for us that are not elected to positions of authority is to pray for those in authority, holding them accountable to resist evil, which is the legitimate function of government so we all can live a quiet and peaceful life.
